Film will have UK and Ireland screenings on April 19 and from April 21
A website to book tickets for April's screenings of Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale has been launched. The film will have preview screenings on April 19, followed by further screenings from April 21.According to Anime Limited's blog, all screenings in the UK and Ireland will be of the uncensored version of the film.
In addition, all screenings will be in Japanese with subtitles. According to Anime Limited, 'We are aware that an English language dub was announced recently, however we are not able to gain access to this in time for our screenings in April. We are investigating whether it may be possible to screen the English dub at a later date, but we have no confirmation on if that will actually be possible or not.'
The film will be shown at Showcase, PictureHouse, Odeon, Vue and Cineworld cinemas, as well as some independent cinemas.
The film's all-new original story takes place after the Mother's Rosario arc, which was the final arc depicted in the TV anime's second season.
