Live-Action Wolf Guy Manga Adaptation Home Release in April

Arrow Films has announced the April 24 release of a Dual Format Blu-ray/DVD edition of Wolf Guy (aka Wolf Guy: Enraged Lycanthrope), a 1973 live-action horror-martial arts film which stars Sonny Chiba (live-action The Street Fighter, Golgo 13: Assignment Kowloon, The Storm Riders, Kill Bill: Volume 1) as a werewolf. The film is adapted from a manga by Kazumasa Hirai (8 Man, the Spider-Man manga, Genma Taisen, the manga adapted as Harmagedon). This is the film's first release outside Japan.
Arrow Films describes Wolf Guy as follows:

Chiba stars as Akira Inugami, the only survivor of a clan of ancient werewolves who relies on his supernatural powers to solve mysterious crimes. After a series of bloody killings perpetrated by an unseen force, Inugami uncovers a conspiracy involving a murdered cabaret singer, corrupt politicians, and a plot by the J-CIA to harvest his blood in order to steal his lycanthropic powers! At the same time, Inugami also discovers the truth behind his family heritage, and that he may not be the last of his kind.
The home edition will include interviews with Sonny Chiba, the film's director Kazuhiko Yamaguchi and producer Tatsu Yoshida. The first pressing will also include a booklet with text by Patrick Macias and Jasper Sharp.
